So läuft das Programm am 26. Lucerne Blues Festival
Drei Formationen sorgen für Club-Atmosphäre
Dieses Jahr wird das Lucerne Blues Festival noch persönlicher als üblich. Aufgrund der nach wie vor nicht absehbaren Entwicklung der Coronapandemie findet die 26. Ausgabe im kleineren Rahmen vom 11. bis 13. November statt. Pro Abend gibt es 150 Tickets und das Programm wird auf drei Formationen reduziert. Ausser Blues at School gibt es keine Rahmenaktivitäten.
Das 26. Lucerne Blues Festival wird aufgrund der Unsicherheiten wegen Corona in kleinem Rahmen stattfinden. Vom Donnerstag bis Samstag, 11. bis 13. November, wird es im Grand Casino Luzern drei Konzertabende geben mit einem wie üblich hochstehenden, aber abgespeckten Programm. Drei Formationen werden dieses Jahr auf der Bühne stehen: Franck L.Goldwasser & The Transcontinental Blues Ensemble, die East Side King Festival Revue feat. Crystal Thomas, E.J. Matthews and Soul Man Sam sowie Bonita & The Blues Shacks.
Das Publikum wird die Konzerte, die jeweils um 19 Uhr beginnen, sitzend mitverfolgen. Die Anzahl Gäste ist auf 150 Personen pro Abend limitiert, damit im Panoramasaal immer genügend Mindestabstand eingehalten werden kann. Es gibt keine Stehplätze. Der Vorverkauf wird am Mittwoch, 15. September 2021, starten über www.bluesfestival.ch.
Der Eintrittsreis beträgt CHF 75.00 pro Abend. In diesem Preis ist ein Nachtessen (3 Gänge, trockenes Gedeck) inbegriffen. Es gibt dieses Jahr keine Festivalpässe. Die Eintrittstickets müssen beim Kauf personalisiert werden. Pro Person/Buchung können maximal vier Eintrittskarten erworben werden. So wird es trotz eingeschränkter Platzzahl 2021 einem breiteren Publikum möglich sein, die Konzerte zu besuchen.
«Wir können dank der tollen Unterstützung unserer Partner den Eintrittspreis auch 2021 sehr moderat halten. Wir wollen damit auch ein Zeichen dafür setzen, dass es am Lucerne Blues Festival auch dieses Jahr für alle möglich sein soll, tolle Live-Konzerte zu geniessen, auch unter dem «eingeschränkten» Konzept. Wir sehen das auch als Investition in die Zukunft, wenn wir hoffentlich wieder unser normales Festivalkonzept durchführen können», sagt Festivalpräsident Martin «Kari» Bründler.
Allerdings besteht nach wie vor eine gewisse Unsicherheit, ob auch das diesjährige Konzept dann wirklich so durchgeführt werden kann. Nach der heutigen Ausweitung der COVID-Zertifikatspflicht durch den Bundesrat werden auch für unsere Konzerte ein gültiges COVID-Zertifikat erforderlich (3G) sein. «Wir verfolgen die Entwicklungen weiterhin aufmerksam und werden bei Veränderungen sofort informieren. Die Gesundheit der Besucher, Musiker und des OK sind für uns zentral», betont Martin Bründler.
Die Festivalleitung empfiehlt deshalb, sich auf www.bluesfestival.ch für den Newsletter einzutragen, um immer aktuell über das Festival und die Konzerte informiert zu sein. Es müssen auch Programmänderungen vorbehalten bleiben. Die nach wie vor unsichere Corona-Entwicklung kann jederzeit auch wieder Einfluss auf die Reisemöglichkeiten sowie Quarantäne-Vorschriften für die Musiker haben.
Auf das Rahmenprogramm wie die drei Blues-Brunches, das Gratis-Eröffnungskonzert oder das Bespielen der Bühne im Casineum wird dieses Jahr verzichtet. Hingegen wird der Unterrichtsbesuch mit Konzert in der Kantonsschule Reussbühl durch die Musiker im Rahmen von Blues at School im möglichen Rahmen durchgeführt.

Three bands will play in a club atmosphere
This is the program at the 26th Annual Lucerne Blues Festival
This year the Lucerne Blues Festival will be even more personal than usual. Due to the still unforeseeable development of the corona pandemic, the 26th edition will take place on a smaller scale from November 11th to 13th. There are 150 tickets available per evening and the program is reduced to three bands. Apart from Blues at Schools there will be no supporting activities.
The 26th Annual Lucerne Blues Festival will take place on a small scale due to the uncertainties about Corona. From Thursday to Saturday, November 11th to 13th, there will be three concert evenings at the Grand Casino Lucerne with an as usual high-quality but slimmed-down program. Three bands will be on stage this year: Franck L. Goldwasser & The Transcontinental Blues Ensemble, The East Side King Festival Revue feat. Crystal Thomas, E.J. Matthews and Soul Man Sam and last but not least Bonita & The Blues Shacks.
The audience will all be seated for the shows which start at 07:00 pm. The number of guests is limited to 150 people per evening so that a sufficient minimum distance can always be secured in the panorama hall at the Grand Casino Lucerne. There will be no standing area this year. Advance sales will start on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, on www.bluesfestival.ch.
The entrance fee is kept at CHF 75.00 per evening. A dinner (3 courses dry cover) is included in this price. There are no festival passes available this year. The entrance tickets must be personalized when they are purchased. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per person/booking.
«Thanks to the great support from our partners, we can keep the ticket price very moderate in 2021 as well. We want to set an example that it should be possible for everyone at the Lucerne Blues Festival to enjoy great live concerts like in the past even with the “limited” concept of 2021. We also see this as an investment in the future when we hopefully can carry out our normal festival concept again”, says festival president Martin “Carl” Bruendler.
However there is still a certain amount of uncertainty as to whether this concept can really be implemented this way. After today's expansion of the COVID certificate requirements by the Swiss Federal Council a valid COVID certificate will also be required for our concerts. “We will continue to monitor developments closely and will inform you immediately of any changes. The health of the visitors, musicians and the organization committee are key to us”, emphasizes Martin Bruendler.
The festival management therefore recommends subscribing to the newsletter on www.bluesfestival.ch in order to be kept up-to-date about the festival and the concerts. Due to the actual situation the program might be subject to change. The still uncertain corona development can at any time have an impact on travel options and quarantine regulations for the musicians.
The supporting events such as the three blues brunches, the free opening concerts or playing on the stage in the Casineum bar will be dispensed this year. On the other hand, the Blues at schools with a concert at the Reussbuehl school will be carried out by the musicians if possible.
